CLINO: The Wheelbarrow Table for Outdoor Living

A Unique and Flexible Garden Table

Inspired by the versatility of a wheelbarrow, renowned designer Dario Rose introduces CLINO, a folding table that combines functionality and style for outdoor living.

In archaeological excavations, a wheelbarrow is not only used to carry away waste materials but also serves as an improvised chair for tired backs. It can even be transformed into a barbecue at the end of an excavation. Taking inspiration from this multi-purpose tool, Dario Rose conceptualized CLINO as a base for a table that can be used for dining, working, or playing. The Tavolinomono CLINO is designed to be easily movable, allowing you to chase the shade and stay cool during the summer heat.

What sets CLINO apart is its unique structure derived from a wheelbarrow, featuring a front wheel that enables effortless mobility. Crafted specifically for outdoor use, CLINO is a folding garden table that offers flexibility and adaptability. Whether you need an extra surface for a garden party or a compact table for a cozy outdoor meal, CLINO has got you covered.

CLINO is constructed with two different plane options: metal or wood. The metal version boasts a galvanized and baking painted iron structure, ensuring high resistance to atmospheric agents and UV radiation. On the other hand, the wooden version features natural ash tree boarding, produced with ethical and social responsibility. The wood used in CLINO comes from forests where logging is controlled, ensuring the process of reforestation and rejuvenation of the forest. Each plank is fixed to the frame with stainless steel screws, guaranteeing a perfect hold and avoiding any imperfections. The front wheel of CLINO is equipped with an inflatable air chamber, adding to its functionality and ease of use.

With dimensions of 670mm x 850mm and a height of 700mm, CLINO is designed to be compact and easily transportable. When not in use, it can be packed down to a mere 1100mm x 600mm x 400mm, making it convenient for storage and transportation.

The CLINO project began in Spring 2014 in Rome and was completed in December 2015. It involved a team of talented individuals, including designer Dario Rose, engineer Giovanni Lupi, creative Aurelia Lupi, artisan Gaetano Capogna, and even Emiliano Rose, the designer's child, who contributed to the creative process.

One of the main challenges faced during the development of CLINO was creating a collapsible system that could reduce its height to just 40cm. After numerous attempts and collaboration among the team members, they successfully achieved this result, making CLINO a truly innovative and practical design.

CLINO has already garnered recognition in the design world, receiving the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2016. This award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. CLINO's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contribute to a better world, providing fulfillment and positive feelings.

With its unique design and exceptional functionality, CLINO is a testament to Dario Rose's creativity and commitment to creating innovative and stylish outdoor furniture. Whether you're hosting a garden party or enjoying a quiet meal in the sun, CLINO is the perfect companion for your outdoor living space.
